Precise Location Setting - Android

Instructions on how to set your iPhone's browser to share it's precise location to Search and Rescue Coordinators if you receive a location link from them. This is important to speed up the response as they>

  1. Go to your smartphone's Settings menu.
  2. Tap on "Location"
  3. Tap on "App permissions"
  4. Scroll down to locate your default browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, etc.)
  5. Ensure Location access for this app is set to "Allow only while using the app"
  6. Ensure the "Use precise location" setting is enabled (e.g. not gray)
  7. Return to your text message.
  8. Tap on the location link again, or you can access it here
